Free in you!

I feel free, when I stay
tangled in your arms,
I feel free, when  I feel
more than your hands,
I feel free when I kiss yours lips,
I feel free when we're one!
By Susana Ramírez G.
'cause thou art a cloud in my sunny day,
you're my heaven in this hell,
You're in my heart forever!

The Eagle By Alfred Lord Tennyson

He clasps the crag with crooked hands;
Close to the sun in lonely lands,
Ring'd with the azure world, he stands.

The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls;
He watches from his mountain walls,
And like a thunderbolt he falls.

Teacher Ramirez Opinion:
When I read this poem I thought:
"Ok this poem is simple, is talking about an eagle"
But, you need read again,
and you will find another meaning with this eagle's poem,
so Read one more time!
And write me in a comment, what's your opinion when you understand the poem?

Nothing Gold Can Stay By Robert Frost

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Teacher Ramirez Opinion:
In my personal opinion this is a great poem!
Because  Frost is trying to show the reality of our life,
Because in sometimes we feel much security,
and we forget that every beginning have an end, so,
Nothing in this life is forever!
Now!
Please share with me your own thoughts in a comment!

First Ice By Andrei Voznesenski (Translated by George Reavey)

A girl freezes in a telephone booth.
In her draughty overcoat she hides
A face all smeared
in lipstick and tears.

She breathes on her thin palms.
Her fingers are icicles.  She wears earrings.

She’ll have to walk home alone,
Along the ice-bound street.

First ice.  The very first time.
The first ice of telephone phrases.

Frozen tears glisten on her cheeks–
The first ice of human hurt.

Teacher Ramirez Opinions:
Well, for me this poem is about the first experience about something, and if we read better the poem, is about depressing, cold, or lonely; an strong and deep emotion is expressed in this poem; I will like to know some first experience in your life!
Write me a comment with your thought!
Fire and Ice by Robert Frost

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Teacher Ramírez Opinions:
What I think?this poem compare two things, the Fire and the Ice,
these are allusion to the destruction, to the evil,
we can relate the the fire, with passion and the ice, with hate;
But I remind you, Every single person have different viewpoints!
Please show me in a comment, what's your opinion?
Long Distance By Carole Gregory

That phone call, the one that you wait for
but never expect to come
was phoned today. And
that voice, the one that you ache for
but seldom expect to hear
spoke today. And that
loneliness, the loneliness you hurt from
but always help inside,
flies out like thin stones across water.

Teacher Ramírez opinions:
In my opinion this poem is about hope!
Please tell me in a comment,  what do you think about this poem?
And like a recommendation, try to stay focused in what you're reading and you will understand better the poem!
The Choice By Dorothy Parker

He'd have given me rolling lands,
Houses of marble, and billowing farms,
Pearls, to trickle between my hands,

Smoldering rubies, to circle my arms.
You- you'd only a lilting song,
Only a melody, happy and high,
You were sudden and swift and strong-
Never a thought for another had I.

He'd have given me laces rare,
Dresses that glimmered with frosty sheen,
Shining ribbons to wrap my hair,
Horses to draw me, as fine as a queen.
You- you'd only to whistle low,
Gayly I followed wherever you led.

I took you, and I let him go-
Somebody ought to examine my head!

Teacher Ramírez opinions:
This poem is about Love vs. Money
Please tell me in a comment what is your opinion about this poem?
And if you did not undertand so good this poem, like a suggestion from Teacher Ramírez, read the poem in a quiet setting, and remember all the opinion are subjective!
Everybody have a different opinion!
